30 Years Regency Casino Thessaloniki
Regency Casino Thessaloniki has completed 30 years of operation, celebrating three decades of successful presence at the heart of entertainment, leisure and hospitality in Northern Greece.
The celebrations reached their peak on Saturday, September 26, at Vergina Theatro, with the grand anniversary party and a spectacular concert by Sakis Rouvas. The acclaimed Greek artist’s electrifying performance marked the highlight of the two-day anniversary celebrations, as well as of the anniversary year to date.
Since opening its doors in 1996, Regency Casino Thessaloniki has evolved into one of the largest and most luxurious casinos in Europe, as well as one of the most significant employers in Northern Greece. Throughout these years, it has continued to invest in the city, adding the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki hotel and Vergina Theatro to the complex, while in 2025 it introduced The Piazza, the first open-air gaming and entertainment complex of its kind in Europe.
The 30th anniversary represents a milestone not only for the company, but also for the city itself. For an entire generation of Thessaloniki residents, the venue has been inextricably linked to the city’s social life, while the relationship between Regency Casino Thessaloniki and the people of Thessaloniki and Northern Greece remains at the heart of the company’s identity.
After all, since the beginning of its operation, Regency Casino Thessaloniki has undertaken a wide range of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and actions. The anniversary celebrations began in May and will continue through November, with the highlight being the two-day program of events held on September 25 and 26.
The celebrations marking 30 years of Regency Casino Thessaloniki’s dynamic journey also included two parties featuring Greek and international hits, as well as draws for two electric cars. The electric car draws formed part of the landmark anniversary campaign “30 Years – 30 Cars”, through which one electric car is awarded every week from May through November — 30 cars in total, one for each year of operation.
